To me, family photography isn’t about perfect outfits or getting everyone to smile at the camera. It’s about savouring every second with our children. The heart-melting early morning cuddles, the cuteness of mispronounced words, and being so needed. The tiny details that make up this season of your life, remembering how it felt. The connection. The chaos. The love that fills your everyday.

Because the truth is, these are the golden days. Even when they’re messy and loud, or quiet and beautifully ordinary. These are the moments that slip by without much notice are the ones you’ll miss the most one day.

I’ve been right where you are, growing babies, living through the blurry newborn days, chasing toddlers, and finding your way through the beautiful chaos of family life. Now that my children are much bigger, I see it clearly – the little things were always the big things. The weight of a sleeping child on your chest. Tiny toddler curls. Holding little hands that wanted to go everywhere with you. Ordinary days that once felt endless – It’s where the magic lived.

That’s why this work means so much, because to me, family photography has never been about getting everyone to smile at the camera. It’s about connection and presence. The way your family moves, laughs, and leans into each other when no one is asking you to perform. It’s always been more than just photos to me. I genuinely love getting to know the families I photograph and making them feel at ease infront of the camera.. Every session is personal, every story a little different. My role is simply to create a space where you can be yourselves, while I document all the love that already exists there.

I strive to create an effortless experience and photographs that show you just how beautiful your real life is. Because those fleeting, everyday moments, they’re everything.

YOUR QUESTIONS—ANSWERED

This is something I’m asked a lot! I love to help my families prepare for their session. You’ll receive a style guide once you are booked in which covers what to wear, bring and what to expect. I’m drawn to soft, nostalgic tones, muted colours and texture. But ultimately you want to feel comfortable and like yourself.

Yes, everyone is welcome here, this is a safe space for all identities, bodies, cultures, faiths, neurodiversity and family structures. No matter how you identify and regardless of how you define yourself or your family relationship, I’d love to be a part of your story. If I can do anything to make your experience easier and more comfortable I want you to know that you can reach out to me.

Honestly, same, along with 99% of my clients who claim to be awkward. Don’t worry, my approach is relaxed and easygoing, and I’ll be there to give you something to laugh about, tell you where to put your hands (because nobody knows what to do with their hands). All you need to do is be present and connect with yourself and your loved ones. You’ll hardly notice the moments being captured, it’s easier than you think, I promise!

Sessions will take 2 to 4 weeks to deliver. Once your photos are ready, I’ll send you an email link to your online viewing gallery. You will be able to download your included images and somewhere safe.. I put a lot of love and care into perfecting each image, which is why it’ll take me a little bit more time to deliver your final images. You can print your own photos, or you can print via the shop within the gallery itself. If you do choose to print yourself please use a professional printing lab.

We know there is often a chance of rain and while I wholeheartedly encourage embracing Cornish weather, a light shower can make for some magical images, but I’ll never insist on shooting if the conditions are extremely bad. I limit my outdoors sessions, avoiding back-to-back bookings, and offer flexibility to adjust dates if needed.

Every image you receive is carefully hand-edited by me. My style is inspired by cinematic colours and the soft, timeless feel of film, so your photographs feel natural and emotive. I keep editing gentle and true to life. I may remove obvious distractions in the background, things like signs, stray people, or anything that pulls attention away from the moment. When it comes to you, I only retouch temporary things that wouldn’t be there in a few weeks, the occasional spot, scratch, redness or bruise. Nothing that changes who you are. You are created beautifully as you are. My job isn’t to change you, it’s to help you see the beauty that’s already there.
