There’s something truly magical about those golden summer days, the ones that feel endless, where time slows down, and we can get back to what really matters. That’s exactly how it felt capturing the beautiful Webber family during an evening at the beach. With soft golden sands and long beach grasses swaying in the breeze, it was the perfect escape from the daily grind, a chance to simply be together.
We started the session at my favourite Holywell Bay, just as the sun began to dip behind the grassy cliffs, painting everything in a warm, golden glow. The girls ran ahead, giggling as they twirled through the dunes, their little footprints trailing behind them. There’s something so freeing about these sessions- no stiff posing, no cheesy smiles, just a family enjoying the magic of the moment.
I watched Mum and Dad as they strolled behind, watching their girls with a feeling of nostalgia for these summer holiday days—the kind that makes you wish you could press pause and stay in this season of life just a little longer. And in a way, that’s exactly what we did. We captured how they held hands, how the sea breeze lifted their hair, and the quiet moments of closeness and the wild between them.
Staying up past bedtime to watch the sunset was a rare treat for the girls, and you could feel their excitement. It’s my personal opinion that it’s always worth staying up late for a sunset. The beach was calm and quiet; the girls ran along the shoreline, dipping their toes into the chilly water. These are the moments that matter, the ones where the world feels quiet, where nothing else exists except the people who mean the most.
This experience isn’t about perfect outfits or everyone looking at the camera; it’s about feeling. It’s about soaking in the moments, the wild and the carefree, the simple joy of being together in a place that feels like magic.
These golden days don’t last forever. But capturing them means you’ll always have a way to hold onto them, just a little bit longer.
If you’re planning a trip to Cornwall and want to bottle up the magic of your golden days, I’d love to capture them for you. Let’s create something beautiful together.
